New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th instalment of the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi scheme yesterday. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 2,000 as part of the government’s financial support program. It was started back in February 2019. Are you one of them who have applied for the scheme but haven’t received the instalment? Don’t worry. Here we have listed down what to do in this case.
What Is The Reason Of Delay?
Delays can happen for several reasons, but there are steps you can take to resolve the issue and ensure you receive your money.
Did You Complete Your KYC?
To receive the 18th instalment, it is now mandatory for farmers to complete their KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This step was introduced to prevent fraud and ensure only eligible farmers receive the benefits. Farmers can complete the KYC process either online using OTP (One Time Password) or by visiting their nearest Common Service Centre.
If your KYC is not updated, it may disrupt future payments, so make sure to complete this process as soon as possible.
What To Do If You Haven't Get PM Kisan Instalment?
If you’re a farmer who hasn’t received the Rs 2,000 instalment, you can file a complaint. But before you do, check if your name is listed as a beneficiary on the PM KISAN portal.
Once your name is added to the beneficiary list, you are entitled to receive the instalment for that period and all future payments. For example, if your name was uploaded between December 2022 and March 2023, you are eligible for that instalment and all future ones. Similarly, if your name was added during the April to July 2024 period, you should receive payments for that and all upcoming periods.
