pastor john-paul miller's home raid linked to wife mica miller's death? lawyer responds

FBI and multiple law-enforcement agents conducted a raid early Friday at the Horry County home of Solid Rock church pastor John-Paul Miller, also known as JP Miller. This comes about six months after his wife Mica Miller shot herself. With officers executing a search warrant at the property on Coldwater Circle in the Azalea Lakes neighborhood, several social media users wondered if it is linked to Mica's suicide death.

One of Miller's attorneys clarified, saying the federal agency is just 'fishing'. “There was no affidavit attached to the search warrant; therefore, I have no idea what it’s in relation to,” Long said., according to The Post and Courier. Officials have not issued a statement yet.

Meanwhile, local media outlets reported that by 1:30 PM local time, about 20 protestors gathered across the street from the pastor's home. Some wore purple #justiceformica shirts. One of them held a poster, saying: “Your voice is powerful.”

Mica Miller was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in April at the Lumber River State Park, about two hours south of Raleigh, North Carolina. She was served with divorce papers days ago. While her death was ruled a suicide, claims about JP Miller's alleged abuse surfaced.

Miller first acknowledged his wife's death in a strange sermon at his church, Solid Rock Ministries. He stepped down from his duties for several weeks.

One protestor told The Post and Courier: "We have waited and waited and waited. This is what we’ve been waiting on.”

“It will be worth every bit of everything if we get justice for Mica in the end. Justice for Mica is all it’s about," another one added.
