Pakistan have defeated Australia by nine wickets in the 2nd ODI in Adelaide. The visitors have restored parity in the three match ODI series and the third and final match in Perth will now be a decider.
Riding on Saim Ayub's valiant innings Pakistan have now secured a win in Adelaide after a prolonged 28 years. Their last win in ODI was back in 1996. Earlier Haris Rauf pickled up his second ODI five wicket haul to restrict Pakistan to 163 runs.
It was Saim Ayubv who started dispatching the Australian bowlers all over the ground. The 22 year old missed his maiden ODI ton by just 18 runs and Pakistan will enter the third ODI with sheer confidence.
As quoted by Cricbuzz Ayub said, "The most important thing for me is that the team won. We tried to be positive, the most important thing is how we played as a team. It's about watching the ball and trying to be positive. I just trusted myself. Victory always gives you confidence.
"We are committed to our team values and we are enjoying each other's company. Being in the present moment is the most important thing. Our bowling unit was magnificent. Credit goes to Haris Rauf (to take those wickets and put them under pressure,) but the other bowlers also supported him well."
