paise kamaney ka shok hai...: ex-pakistan star supports babar azam; takes brutal dig at pcb

Babar Azam is undoubtedly the biggest superstar in Pakistan cricket right now, and is also one of the best batters in the world. However, despite being such a big superstar, he is the subject of massive criticism in his country, whether it is for his captaincy in Pakistan's disastrous ICC tournament campaigns or his strike-rate in T20Is. Now, an ex-Pakistani cricketer Tanveer Ahmed has taken Babar's side, and also taken a swipe at the PCB while speaking for the Pakistan T20I captain.

In a rant on his X account, Tanveer Ahmed blasted people on social media who criticize Babar Azam. He also said that people act as if nothing is wrong with the PCB. He also urged the naysayers to also praise Babar sometimes instead of criticizing him.

"Social media par dekh kar aesa lagta ha jaese pakistan cricket sirf babar azam ney he kharab ki ha board ka tou koi kasoor nahi ha kuch khuda ka khoof karo ager paise kamaney ka shok ha tou kuch babar ki tareef bhi karain na k sirf burai kar kay (Seeing social media, it seems like Pakistan cricket has been ruined by Babar Azam only, and PCB has done nothing wrong. You should fear God. If you have the urge to earn money, then please say something in praise of Babar as well, and not always criticize him)," he wrote.

Babar Azam was last seen in action in Pakistan's first Test against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. He had a disastrous outing as in the first innings, he was out for a 2-ball duck. This was the first duck he scored in Test matches for Pakistan on home soil. In the second innings, Babar scored 22 from 50 balls, as Pakistan were defeated by Bangladesh for the first time ever at home. He will next be seen in action, when Pakistan take on Bangladesh in the second Test match.
