Olympics 2024, Day 14 Live Updates: The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued a new statement regarding Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s appeal to be awarded the silver medal, following her disqualification from the Paris Olympics 2024 women’s 50kg event. The CAS said that matter has been referred to the Hon. Dr Annabelle Bennett AC SC (AUS), sitting as a Sole Arbitrator, adding that the decision will be taken before the end of the Summer Games. Later in the day, India grappler Aman Sehrawat playing for the bronze medal in men’s 57kg wrestling against Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz. Apart from him, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will also be in action in the women’s individual golf event. India have taken their medal tally to a total of five medals as the men’s hockey team clinched a memorable bronze while athlete Neeraj Chopra secured silver in the men’s javelin throw event.
