The upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is one of the most anticipated series. India have been a nemesis for Australia in bilateral series and are yet to lose since 2014-1015 tour. They won two series at home and two in Australia since the defeat, all by a 2-1 margin. India have a chance to complete a rare hat-trick of series wins in Australia, but the Asian giants will have to be at the peak of their prowess to beat Australia.
India will head to Australia without two of their strong pillars, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, who were left out of the team following a string of poor performances. India will have to rely on youngsters to take on the Aussie challenge along with senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
One of the key players for India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be Rishabh Pant, who has plenty of experience playing and performing in Australia. Pant was significant to India’s win on the previous tour, scoring 97 in the crucial Sydney Test to help India pull off a draw and then backed his performance with a match winning 89 at the Gabba.

'Need To Keep Him Quiet': Pat Cummins Wary Of Rishabh Pant Threat In Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Australia cricketers Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh was all praise for Pant and picked him as the 'Indian cricketer who is most Australian'
"The Indian cricketer I believe is most Australian would be Rishabh Pant. I think the way he goes about his aggressive nature, the way he goes about his work, he'd be very enjoyable to play with," Head told Star Sports.
"He's a ripping bloke. I wish he was Australian. He's obviously been through a lot the last few years. Hell of a comeback. He's a positive guy, he's still very young, he loves winning. He's highly competitive for someone who, I guess, has the persona of being relaxed – always laughing and smiling. He has got that big smile," Marsh opined about the Indian wicketkeeper in the same video.
