Former Pakistan cricketers have been quick to react to India's victory over Bangladesh in the first Test as the Rohit Sharma-led side took a 1-0 lead in the series with veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's brilliance with both bat and ball key to victory.
On the first day, India found themselves in a spot of bother at 144-6 before Ashwin and Jadeja put up a massive 199-run partnership. Ashwin scored the 6th Test century of his career with a knock of 113. Meanwhile, Jadeja scored 86 runs and put up a huge score of 375 on the board.
Later, Jadeja took two wickets in the first innings and followed it up with three more scalps in the second. Ashwin secured the Player of the Match (POTM) award on his home ground with a six-wicket haul, making him the first player to score a century and take a five-wicket haul in the same twice at the same venue.
