not babar azam or shan masood! ex-captain names people responsible for pakistan's series loss vs bangladesh

Pakistan hit a new low on September 3 (Tuesday) when they lost the second Test match of the two-match series by a margin of 5 wickets. This meant that Bangladesh won the series, that too by whitewashing Pakistan by a margin of 2-0. This is the first time that Pakistan were whitewashed by an Asian team at their home in a Test Series. While a chunk of the blame has been put on captain Shan Masood and star batter Babar Azam for his poor performances, ex-captain Rashid Latif has held the PCB Presidents for this downfall of Pakistan cricket.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Caught Behind, Rashid Latif said that all the chairmen of PCB who have been at the helm of affairs for the past four years have demolished Pakistan cricket.

"Jitne bhi chairman aaye hain, woh tabah kar rahe hain last four years se (All the chairmen who have come in the last four years have been demolishing Pakistan cricket),” Latif said.

He also took a massive dig at ex-PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf slamming him for appointing Shan Masood as the Test captain by removing Babar Azam for the spot, and hence dividing the Pakistan team. He also accused him of concentrating on giving interviews when the Pakistan team was breaking from within.

"Who brought him (Shan Masood) as (Test) captain? Who removed Babar Azam (from captaincy)? Who divided the Pakistan team? So what is he doing at this juncture? Giving interviews" the former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter added.

Pakistan also continue their horrific record at home in Test matches. They last won a Test match at home on February 8, 2021 against South Africa. It has been 1,303 days since they last won a game in the longest format of the game. Shan Masoodalso becomes the first Pakistan captain to lose his first five matches since being appointed.
