Noida: The city prepares for the Janmashtami celebrations on August 26, with markets seeing a dense crowd of devotees across Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. Amid this, the Noida Traffic Police expects a huge turnout of devotees at ISKCON Temple at Maharaja Agrasen Marg. To ensure a peaceful celebration as well as a smooth traffic flow on Monday, the Traffic Police has decided to divert vehicles from the Maharaja Agrasen flyover. The new arrangements will be temporary, and will be in place for Monday only due to the celebrations.
People travelling to Film City, Atta Market, Sector 18, Anjali Market, etc will have to take a detour. Since the Maharaja Agrasen Flyover will be restricted for traffic, commuters will have to go through Hoshiyarpur village and then take the road to City Centre. This way, they will be able to avoid the flyover.
“Maharaja Agrasen Marg will see traffic restrictions on both sides, stretching from the NTPC underpass to Gijhore Chowk. Commuters travelling from Gijhore to Sector 18 and Atta Market are advised to take a detour via Hoshiyarpur village and proceed to the City Centre to avoid the restricted area. Although the Noida Elevated Road will remain open, the loops near the Iskcon Temple and NTPC will be closed for safety reasons,” said the DCP.

Meanwhile, those planning to visit the ISKCON temple should know about the parking arrangements. As per the plan, parking lot has been set in Sector 25 A. Devotees can find a general parking at Adobe Chowk, while the parking for invitees have been arranged near Noida Haat.
