Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja was slammed for his controversial question to Shan Masood after the Test series against England. Pakistan defeated England 2-1 to put an end to the losing streak. The series did not start well for Pakistan as they suffered a defeat in the first Test. This was Shan Masood's sixth defeat in as many games as captain, but Pakistan pulled things back and won the final two Tests to win the series.
After the series win, Masood sat for an interview with Ramiz Raza where the former PCB chief put forward a controversial question and asked how did he achieve the losing streak.
"There are two things that you will see. One is how to play on seaming conditions and the other thing is if it is a one-off. How did you achieve this, six losses in a row?" Raja said on-air. Masood maintained his calm and responded to Raja by saying, "Ramiz bhai, we needed this win. The nation needed this win and I am really happy for Pakistan."
Raja's remarks stirred controversy as he was brutally slammed by fans on social media.
Shan Masood Reacts To Ramiz Raja's Controversial Question
Shan Masood recently reacted to the controversy and said he has no hard feelings for Ramiz Raja, adding that people have the right to ask questions they want.
"There are no hard feelings from my side. "I've always been an open book in front of the media and tried to conduct myself in the best possible way. People have every right to ask questions however they want. I want to give the best account of myself and for my character to be reflected the way I am. I'm good at taking constructive criticism and I'm also good at filtering stuff out," Masood told BBC Stumped (via ESPNcricinfo).
