Mumbai: Advocate Prashant Patil, representing actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, has refuted media reports claiming that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at her residence. Calling the reports “misleading,” Patil stated that Shetty has no connection to any criminal offence.
“There have been reports in the media saying that my client Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra has been raided by the Enforcement Directorate. These reports are not true and are misleading. As per my instructions, there is no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with any offence of whatsoever nature,” Patil clarified in a statement.
The ongoing investigation, he explained, pertains to her husband, businessman Raj Kundra.
“However, the case in question is an ongoing investigation regarding Mr. Raj Kundra and he is cooperating with the investigation for truth to come out,” Patil said.
The lawyer also urged the media to exercise caution, stating: “Would request the electronic and print media to refrain from using the videos, pictures, and name of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with the case. Strict cognisance shall be taken against irresponsible journalism wherein the pictures or videos of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra are shared on this matter.”
Patil’s statement emphasises the importance of responsible reporting, as the actress has been dragged into headlines despite no involvement in the investigation. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra continues to cooperate with authorities in the ongoing probe.

ED Quizzes Shilpa Shetty's Husband Raj Kundra In 'Adult Movie' Money Laundering Case
Raids At Raj Kundra's House
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday knocked Raj Kundra's door again to conduct searches in a money-laundering case related to 'adult film' production. As many as 15 locations were searched as part of a case initiated by the Mumbai police against Kundra in 2021 in connection with the alleged porn production.
Raj Kundra, who was previously arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in July 2021, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act, later secured bail from a city court.
Kundra has been under the ED's lens for months, following allegations that he was a key player in a scheme that monetised explicit content streamed via the now-defunct 'Hotshots' application. The app, previously available on platforms like Apple and Google Play, was removed after public and legal scrutiny.
