new york fashion week: all you need to know from dates to schedule

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is all set to return this Fall, with various designers gearing up to showcase their brand new collections. The event, spanning over six days, will feature more than 60 runway shows, including household names like Coach, Tory Burch and Tommy Hilfiger.

New York Fashion Week 2024 Dates

The fashion extravaganza will officially kick off on September 6, organized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). New York design studio Area will be presenting its Fall/Winter 2024 collection to kick-start the festivities.

Concluding the high-profile event on September 11 will be Melitta Baumeister, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner and Parsons School of Design graduate. Baumeister, who received a cash prize and mentorship last fall, will bring the six-day extravaganza to a close, marking a significant moment in her burgeoning career.

This year, the NYFW 2024 is known to have moved from its usual location at Spring Studios to the Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. The swanky new venue features an outdoor terrace with views of the Hudson River, a restaurant, a food hall, and various event spaces, providing an exciting new backdrop for the event.

Much like its Spring counterpart, NYFW is expected to draw celebrities from the worlds of music, film, sports, and fashion. Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Sam Smith, Anna Wintour, Emily Ratajkowski, and Blake Lively, were among those who attended the February shows.
