Bonding with Neha Dhupia
Vijaylaxmi emphasised how quickly she formed a close friendship with Neha Dhupia. “Neha always kept the atmosphere light by cracking jokes,” she mentioned. With many scenes together, their bond grew naturally, and Vijaylaxmi considers Neha an excellent co-star.
During the interview, Vijaylaxmi touched on an important issue: women continuing to pursue their dreams and passions, even after marriage. She stated, “We shouldn’t expect just one person to give up on their ambition or career.” She stressed the importance of women supporting one another and not losing sight of their aspirations.
On family’s support
Sharing her own story, Vijaylaxmi opened up about how her family has been her biggest support system. Despite her background in corporate banking and an English Honours degree from Delhi University, she decided to follow her passion for acting. “There were no restrictions. My husband, daughter, and close relatives are very supportive of my decision,” she explained, also mentioning how proud her late father, an engineer, would be of her achievements today.
A rising star, Vijaylaxmi gained recognition in the 2019 Netflix original series Delhi Crime. She has been a part of the popular TV show Dil To Happy Hai Ji, Amazon Prime Video series Breathe Into The Shadows, and Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan starrer Behen Hogi Teri.
