'my son has come back': actor darshan case victim renukaswamy's father after birth of grandson

Bengaluru: The wife Renukaswamy, the man who was allegedly killed by Kannada actor Darshan and his men, gave birth to a baby boy. Renukaswamy’s wife Sahana was reportedly five months pregnant when he was murdered. The baby was delivered in a private hospital in Karnataka’s Chitradurga city.

Kashinathaiah, the father of Renukaswamy, burst into tears after his grandson's birth. He said it seemed like his son had come back. Kashinathaiah also expressed gratitude to the hospital staff for the free-of-cost treatment of his grandson and daughter-in-law. Both Sahana and her baby are reportedly doing fine.

"The doctors who took care of my daughter-in-law have done the delivery free of cost and I thank them," Renukaswamy's father said as reported by the news agency.

"My son has come back in the form of a baby. She gave birth to the baby at 6.55 pm," he added. However, when asked about the ongoing case again Darshan, Pavitra Gowda and others in the Renukaswamy murder case, Kashinathaiah said he did not want to talk about that.

"I don't want to talk about it. What matters to me is the mother and son are doing good. I want to thank Dr Mallikarjun who called my daughter-in-law twice a week for a medical check-up and today they ensured normal delivery," he stated.

The family has demanded the trial of the case in a fast-track court.

On Monday, The bail pleas of actor Darshan and Pavitra Gowda were rejected while Deepak, accused in the Renukaswamy Murder Case, has been granted bail by Bengaluru’s City Civil Court. Notably, the Kannada actor Darshan is currently being held in Ballary jail.

Renukaswamy, 33, an auto driver and Darshan's fan, was found dead near a flyover in Bengaluru on June 9. According to the police, Renukaswamy was kidnapped and murdered by a gang based on Darshan's direction, after Renukaswamy allegedly sent offensive messages to actor Pavithra Gowda, on social media.

His body was found near a stormwater drain next to an apartment in Sumanahalli here on June nine. According to the post-mortem report, Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga, died due to shock and haemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries.

Darshan, Pavithra Gowda and 15 others were arrested on June 11 on charges of kidnapping and brutally murdering Renukaswamy from Chitradurga. Renukaswamy had allegedly sent derogatory and obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda.
