Mumbai: A video is going viral on social media platforms showing a gang of peddlers vowing never to sell drugs again. On Wednesday, Mumbai police arrested four members of a gang involved in drug peddling. Following their arrest, the accused, who were taken to the police station, were seen chanting the reason for the action against them.

In the video, they can be heard chanting, "Hum log drugs bechte the, aaj ke baad nahi bechenge" (We used to sell drugs before, but from now on, we won’t sell drugs again). It also shows the accused in handcuffs while chanting. Towards the end of the video, the people surrounding them are seen clapping for them after they took the vow.

The video was shared by Nawab Malik, MLA of Anushakti Nagar on Twitter. He posted the video and captioned, ''Well done, @MumbaiPolice ! People are with you, keep up the excellent work! According to police information, the Bandra unit of the crime branch conducted a raid in the Dogar area in Juhu Galli on Tuesday evening (September 3), as reported by PTI. A crime branch team led by senior inspector Daya Nayak seized 80 grams of mephedrone from the accused during the raid, the report added.

In another news, a man, 35, died allegedly by jumping off the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Atal Setu, said the police on Wednesday. The police has identified the victim as Alex Regi who was a resident of Pune, Maharashtra. The alleged incident took place on Monday, when the victim stopped his car at the bridge and jumped off. The victim's actions were captured in a CCTV footage, said the police. Family of the victim has flagged mental pressure from the workplace.
