Mumbai: Central Railway’s suburban services experienced delays on Tuesday due to two separate incidents. In the afternoon, multiple train schedules was affected between Matunga and Sion. Earlier, problems with overhead equipment near Koper led to further delays in the morning.

Commuters faced delays and trains were overcrowded as services were rerouted or cancelled. Central Railway officials worked quickly to fix the issues and advised passengers to check for updates and plan their journeys accordingly, according to Free Press Journal.

Seven people, including three children, died after a fire broke out at a shop in Chembur, Mumbai. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the incident occurred on Sunday at around 5 a.m., news agency ANI reported.

In another fire incident, a massive fire broke out at V Logistic warehouse in Bhiwandi, near the Mumbai-Nashik Highway on Saturday early morning. It is being said certain chemicals, clothes and hydraulic liquids were kept inside the factory, that turned into ashes in the fire. The cause of the blaze is yet to be known. However, the fire was extinguished to a great extent. After the fire was reported, around six fire tenders from neighboring districts, including Thane were rushed to the spot. As of now, no casualties has been reported.
