Four officers from Khar police station in Mumbai have been caught on CCTV attempting to frame a man by planting drugs in his pocket. The incident occurred in the Kalina area, where the officers allegedly tried to pass off the planted drugs as a legitimate seizure. However, their actions were captured on a security camera, leading to the man's release and an investigation into the officers' conduct.

The CCTV footage, which shows it happened on August 30, clearly shows the police officers searching the man, identified as Daniel, who works at a cattle farm. During the search, one officer is seen placing an object into Daniel's pocket. The officers later claimed they found 20 grams of mephedrone (MD) on Daniel and took him into custody.

However, when the farm owner reviewed the CCTV footage, it became evident that the drugs had been planted by the officers. The footage quickly went viral, and as a result, Daniel was released.

A senior Mumbai police officer confirmed the situation, stating, "We have taken cognizance of the video that has surfaced and have started an investigation."

The incident took place around 6 p.m. on Friday when the officers arrived at the cattle farm and began searching Daniel. Following the discovery of the footage, an investigation has been initiated against the four officers involved.
