Mumbai: Two workers from Mulund Cha Raja Ganpati Mandal were hit by a speeding car early this morning, resulting in one fatality and one person in critical condition. The accident occurred at 4:00 a.m. The Mumbai Police have registered a case and are currently searching for the driver of the car.

In another news, one passenger died and 10 others were injured after a drunk passenger pulled the driver away from the steering wheel of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) bus on Sunday evening near Mumbai's Ganesh Talkies area. The intoxicated passenger reportedly got into an argument with the driver and tried to move him away from the steering wheel. The driver lost control of the bus due to this and knock down the pedestrians. The bus struck pedestrians, cars, and two-wheelers in the Ganesh Talkies area. According to the police, the bus was traveling from Bhatiya Baug to Rani Laxmibai Chowk. As the bus arrived at the Ganesh Talkies stop, the drunken passenger pulled the driver away from the steering wheel, leading to the driver losing control and hitting pedestrians.
The police took all the injured to K.E.M. Hospital for treatment. However, among the 11 injured pedestrians, one woman, identified as Nupur Maniyar, 27-year-old died during treatment. The drunk passenger has been identified as Shinde Datta, a 45-year-old resident of Lalbaugh.
