mukesh ambani reliance industries to consider 1:1 bonus share today: when did ril last issue bonus shares in this ratio?

Reliance Bonus Shares: Shareholders of Reliance Industries Limited or RIL in short, India’s largest company by market value, will soon receive bonus shares. This will be the sixth time in 41 years that RIL has announced a bonus issue. The company is valued at Rs 20.53 lakh crore.

Why Reliance Industries Is Issuing Bonus Share?

The decision follows a flat financial performance in the April-June 2024 quarter, even as the overall market remained strong. Despite this, Reliance is using the bonus issue to reward its shareholders and highlight its long-term business expansion and financial stability.

When RIL Issued Bonus Share In 1:1 Ratio?

As the company’s board is expected to approve the bonus issue today, it has ignited a curiosity among shareholders about when the company issued the bonus share last time in the same ratio. The last time RIL issued bonus shares was in 2017, offering them in a ratio of 1:1. Similar bonus issues were declared in 2009 and 1997, both with a 1:1 share ratio.
