Padel fever is all set to grip India as the stage is set for the Cupra FIP Promotion India 2024. For the first time, such a big padel event will be conducted on Indian soil.

The Cupra FIP Promotion India will attract a lot of eminent names and Thijs Roper is one of them. The Netherlands international is relatively new to the Padel circuit but has already proved his credentials with his silky smooth skills.

The 19 year old started his professional career in tennis but switched to padel at the age of 13 and found it relatively easy due to his tennis background. He will partner with Samuel Jones at the Cupra FIP Promotion India 2024. Roper is currently ranked 188 as per the latest FIP rankings and has accumulated 118 points so far.

He took part in the Youth World Championships at the age of 14 and will be hoping to stage some upsets in the upcoming Cupra FIP Promotion in India.

Coming to the event, the Cupra FIP Promotion India 2024 will take place at Bennett University, Greater Noida and more than 100 players are expected to register for the event with the registration deadline set to expire on November 13, Wednesday.

The Cupra FIP Promotion India will start on November 19 and will conclude on November 24. The tournament will have a total of four events with two each in men's and women's doubles. The competition will start with the qualifying draw in both categories before the main draw. The first two days will see the qualification events while the main draw will begin on Thursday.

Thursday (21st November) – 1st Round Main Draw

Friday (22nd November) – 2nd Round Main Draw

Saturday (23rd November) – Quarterfinals and Semifinals

Sunday (24th November) – Finals

The Bennett University in Greater Noida will host the tournament which has two dedicated padel courts. A footfall of 1500 is expected over the course of the tournament.
