The Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) will be coming to India as the PWR DUPR India Masters will kickstart the PWR DUPR Indian tour. The event will take place at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association Stadium and will be held from October 24 to 27. This event will offer a prize money of $50000 and it will witness some of the most famous pickleball players from all around the world.

Pickleball has gained traction very quickly and has become one of the most popular sports. Pickleball's less complicated gameplay has made it unique and in India too, the sport has seen a massive surge in popularity.

Recently, Pickleball League Asia Private Limited in association with The Times Group launched the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) at a grand event in Dubai on July 24. PWR will improve sports governance and future longevity by uniting regional groups under a single, cohesive structure.

Australia's Sarah Burr will be seen in the PWR DUPR India Masters alongside some other pickleball stars.

Who is Sarah Burr?

Sarah Burr is one of Australia’s most accomplished pickleball players. A mother of two, Sarah got her first taste of pickleball in 2021 and since then hasn’t looked back. A primary school teacher, Sarah was involved in pickleball training and teaching at school and picked the game from there. She went on to participate in the NSW Pickleball Titles and claimed a silver medal there. She also participated in the Asia Open Pickleball in Thailand, the US Open and the World Pickleball Championships in Bali in 2022. Sarah also proved her pickleball credentials at the World Pickleball Championships winning the women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles titles.

The PWR DUPR Indian Tour will travel to Mumbai and Tsu, Japan and then it will have its stop in Ahmedabad (March 2025), Pune (June 2025), Bengaluru (August 2025), Hyderabad (September 2025), New Delhi (October 2025) and Chennai (November 2025).
