Pickleball has emerged as one of the most sought-after sports in the world. A combination of ping-pong, badminton, and tennis, pickleball has been a game-changer in the sporting world in the last few years. The Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) schedule has already been announced and the inaugural PWR DUPR India Masters will hog all the limelight. The first event of the PWR DPR Indian Tour will be held at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association Stadium and a prize money of $50000 is up for grabs.
Recently, Pickleball League Asia Private Limited in association with The Times Group launched the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) at a grand event in Dubai on July 24 and PWR is all set to bring in a revolution in the Indian pickleball circuit. The PWR will offer substantial prize money in a bid to attract all age groups of people from around the world.
Who is Matthew Nola?
CEO and founder of the Lunar Pickleball, Matthew Nola is one of the passionate advocates of pickleball. From playing in various pickleball tournaments to nurturing future pickleball stars, Nola has done it all.
Nola is one of the key people behind the rise of pickleball in South East Asia. Nola took the initiative in 2022 and wrote a letter to the Laos Ambassador to the USA. He even met with Laos’ Minister of Sports and Education and shared his vision for pickleball which could further stimulate the sport globally.
Lunar Pickleball has a paddle of its own and it has also sponsored a number of pickleball players. The PWR DUPR India Tour will hit stops in Mumbai and Tsu, Japan. It will then travel to Ahmedabad (March 2025), Pune (June 2025), Bengaluru (August 2025), Hyderabad (September 2025), New Delhi (October 2025) and Chennai (November 2025).
