Meenakshi Chaudhary’s latest film Lucky Baskhar with Dulquer Salmaan is releasing on October 31. Directed by Venky Atluri, the period drama is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Playing Dulquer Salmaan’s Wife
Meenakshi, who is playing Baskhar's wife Sumathi in the film, had a great experience working with Sithara Entertainments and they are like a family to her. She stated that after Guntur Kaaram, her working relationship with the producers is only growing.
Talking about her role, Meenakshi plays a middle-class wife, Sumathi. Clarifying that she cannot keep playing her age all the time, the actress expressed her desire to play diverse roles. “I want to challenge and push myself as an actor playing different roles,” she says adding that she observed her mother and relatives to pull off a strong character. “As Sumathi, I felt close to my mother and father. I understood the compromises and sacrifices mothers make and that aspect is the strength of the film.”
Middle-Class Upbringing
Meenakshi comes from a middle-class household, her father worked in Army and mother is a homemaker. “I come from a village in Punjab, and I am the first doctor from my village, first Miss India title holder. Lucky Baskhar will connect with everyone as most of Indian families are middle-class.”
Working With Mahesh And Dulquer Salmaan
The actress states that she learnt to be more disciplined from Mahesh Babu and Dulquer Salmaan after working in their films Guntur Kaaram and Lucky Baskhar respectively. “Mahesh Babu garu is a thorough professional and he understand what needs to be done instantly. Even though Dulquer Salmaan is son of an actor and legend Mammootty sir, he still prepares for the role. He inspired me to learn my lines in Telugu."
Lucky Baskhar Is My Redemption For My Fans
Meenakshi acknowledged that her fans were disappointed with her role in Guntur Kaaram. She shared that she cannot talk about what happened behind the scenes. But she understands that her fans have certain expectations from her and Lucky Baskhar is her redemption for them.
