mba student joins virtual coldplay ticket queue not to grab a seat, but...: 'the coldest email'

Coldplay has created a buzz on social media, with fans going into a frenzy to buy tickets. Netizens are even posting screenshots of themselves waiting in virtual queues to confirm their tickets, expressing frustration over failing to secure them. Amid this, an MBA student took a unique approach to seek a job opportunity. His strategy paid off, as he landed a few referrals. "Hustle Max Pro: A student joined a Coldplay ticket-related thread and asked working professionals for referrals, succeeding with a few," wrote Saumil Tripathi, sharing a screenshot on X (formerly known as Twitter).

As per the screenshot, a discussion was ongoing on Grapevine where people were sharing their ticketing woes. A student replied to a comment, writing, "Hi, can you please give me a referral for a fresher’s role? I’m pursuing an MBA in finance."

An individual, working at Razorpay, replied to his comment, saying, "Asking for a referral even in the Coldplay queue. This is the coldest email I have ever seen."

The student responded, saying, "I’m in a queue too, waiting to get selected by a good company. You’re from Razorpay; I think you should give me a referral too."

The Razorpay employee then asked the student to send him a direct message.

After nine years, Coldplay is set to perform in Mumbai in January next year. The concert will be held at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai, as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Tickets went on sale on Sunday, September 22, exclusively through BookMyShow. Lakhs of excited fans were left frustrated as the ticketing platform crashed just minutes before Coldplay concert tickets went on sale. Fans have been eagerly anticipating Coldplay’s return to India.
