Mumbai: The counting of votes is currently underway for the 288-seat Maharashtra assembly election. As per the latest trends, the Mahayuti alliance led by the BJP seems to have a clear edge over MVA. The Mahayuti alliance is ahead on 220 seats whereas the MVA coalition is leading on 55 seats, as per the latest trends. If this trends hold for another hour or two then the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance looks all set for a histiric win in Maharashtra.

Here is the list of some of the big names in Maharashtra polls who are trailing right now:
- Ajit Pawar: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has secured a commanding lead of 34,118 votes over his nephew Yugendra Pawar in the early rounds of counting for the Baramati assembly seat. After seven rounds, Ajit Pawar, vying for his eighth consecutive term, has garnered 65,211 votes, while his nephew, contesting his first election, has secured 31,096 votes. Notably, Pawar was trailing in early trends.
- Nana Patole: Congress leader Nana Patole is trailing as counting continues in Sakoli. BJP's Avinash Brahmankar is leading as per latest trends.
- Zeeshan Siddique: Zeeshan Siddique, son of NCP leader Baba Siddique is trailing from Bandra East. The NCP candidate in Bandra East is trailing behind Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai. Siddique joined NCP recently, shortly after his father Baba Siddique's death.
- Amit Raj Thackeray: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Amit Thackeray is trailing by 7,429 votes after the fourth round of counting. Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Mahesh Sawant is currently in the lead, followed closely by Shiv Sena's Sada Sarvankar.
