Lucas Bravo, who plays star Lily Collins’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Gabriel, has indicated that he might not return for the next season of the Netflix show. The actor recently shared that he wasn’t having “fun” playing Gabriel anymore as he has grown apart from who the character really is. Here’s what the French star had to say about his future with Emily in Paris.
Lucas Bravo might not return to Emily in Paris
In a new interview with Indiewire, Lucas revealed that while he started out having a lot of himself in the character of Gabriel, over the past four seasons he’s lost his way and been manipulated by everyone. He said, “The ‘sexy chef’ was very much part of me in Season 1, and we grew apart season after season because of the choices he makes and because of the direction they make him take. I’ve never been so far away from him.”

Lucas shared that he's not having 'fun' playing the character anymore as he feels Gabriel has been turned into guacamole. The actor stated that there isn't any liberty on set to change anything as the script is set in stone.

He added, "It makes me question if I want to be part of Season 5 […] because my contract ends at Season 4. I really want to see if Gabriel gets back to his fun, cheeky, playful, alive self. With saying that, I feel like I am not being nice or grateful, but when you love something, you want it to be… you want the best version of it. I’m not going to lie; I’ve been frustrated with the direction the character is taking. But we’ll see where it goes."
