Bengaluru: A Bengaluru man who claimed to have helped building two start-up businesses during the seven-year span of his career, said he left his job to pursue writing on social networking site LinkedIn. Parantap Chowdhury has worked for BYJUā€™s and Square Yards before. He said he could have churned a whopping amount in the past 90 days, but his current venture could make only 10 per cent of it. Chowdhury further added that though his current job is less-paying, but it allowed him to live more the past three months than in the last three years.

In a post shared on LinkedIn, he said, "I quit the race 6 months ago so that I could have a life, spend time with people I love, and build a business that is remote, digital, and profitable. I needed to get out ā†’ figure it out. Writing always fascinated me. The question was: What do I write about? After fumbling for a month, I decided to: Niche down on a topic, Write with authenticity, Write from experience".

From here, his journey started as a writer on LinkedIn. In a lengthy post, Parantap shared a list of activities that he does to maintain engagement on his post. Following which, he achieved "Impressions: 274,730, up by 413.6 per cent. Engagement: 5572, up by 496.6 per cent. New Followers: 2344, up by 58.8 per cent. Total Follower Count: 5404".

He said, "I would have earned ā‚¹9,81,000 in these 90 days if I had stayed at my job. I earned less than 10 per cent of that. But I've lived more in these 3 months, than the 3 years before that".
