In the wake of the floods that has wreaked havoc in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Jr NTR has come forward to lend a helping hand to the affected communities. He has announced financial aid of 1 crore (50 lakhs each to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states) towards flood relief and rehabilitation work.
NTR, Siddu Jonnalagadda Donate
Actors Jr NTR and Siddu Jonnalagadda have contributed one crore and 30 lakhs (15 lakhs each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) towards relief measures. Vishwak Sen also announced 10 lakhs towards flood relief and rehabilitation works.
Kalki Filmmakers Chipped In
Life was completely thrown out of gear in several places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Vijayawada in particular received torrential downpours over the past three days.
Kalki Filmmakers – Vyjayanthi Movies – have donated Rs 25 lakh to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's relief fund. In a post on Instagram, the makes said, "We at Vyanyanthi Movies are pledging to donate Rs 25,00,000 to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support relief efforts following the recent heavy rainfall. This state has given us so much and we feel it's our duty to give back during this challenging time. We want to emphasize that this gesture is made with love and respect for all states and communities across the country, as we stand united in supporting one another. Repati Kosam."
Sithara Entertainments
Producers S Radhakrishna, Naga Vamsi and director Trivikram donated 25 lakhs each to the CM's Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for flood relief efforts. Aay filmmakers had announced that 25% of the movie’s share from box office earnings will be donated to the Jana Sena Party’s flood relief initiative.
