Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to respond after El Chiringuito TV journalist José Luis Sánchez named him the best striker of the last decade.
In the journalist's list, he has ranked the top five strikers, beginning with Luis Suárez, who played for Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. Sánchez placed Robert Lewandowski, who previously played for Bayern Munich and is now with Barcelona, in fourth. In third position was Kylian Mbappé, who became a star at Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Real Madrid in 2024. Second place was given to Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the rankings at number one.
The iconic striker reacted to the Instagram post by leaving a pointing-up emoji along with a thumbs-up emoji.

CR7 has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest strikers of all time, recently reaching an incredible milestone of 900 career goals. A significant portion of these goals (450) came during his nine years with Real Madrid in Spain. At 39, he shows no signs of retiring, aiming to become the first player in history to achieve 1,000 goals.
He also has acknowledged that he has fallen behind in the competition for the most Ballons d'Or titles. The iconic Portuguese forward has won five of these prestigious awards, but he has been eclipsed by Lionel Messi. The Argentine superstar has accumulated an extraordinary eight awards. For Portugal, Ronaldo won the EURO as well as the Nations League.
Ronaldo is now approaching the final phase of his career. When he ultimately chooses to retire, it will mark one of the most poignant moments in sports history.
