Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Chunav Results 2024 Live: The counting of votes for the Jharkhand assembly elections has begun and in the initial trends, the alliance led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has taken the lead on 50 seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led coalition is ahead on 30 assembly constituencies.
The battle of Jharkhand was also a fight for prestige as the state went through political ups and downs when CM Hemant Soren was put behind bars and Champai Soren was made the Chief Minister. However, when Hemant Soren got bail, he took oath as the CM again.
Champai Soren quit the party and joined the BJP. Meanwhile, the CM's wife, Kalpana Soren, also campaigned for the party and is contesting the elections on the JMM ticket.
