Police investigate Jessi over assault of fan
On October 16, Jessi underwent police questioning to investigate the perpetrator who assaulted her fan in September this year. The rapper arrived at the police station at around 10:05 PM KST. Before heading inside, she told reporters, “I hope they find the person who hit him quickly, and that he gets punished. I will speak honestly about everything.”
The starlet also clarified that she had seen the perpetrator for the first time on the day of the incident. Jessi's lawyer confirmed the same, stating, "It's true she saw the assailant for the first time that day, and we will provide an explanation after the investigation."
Jessi's fan gets assaulted
On September 29, an 18-year-old fan was assaulted by a member of Jessi’s entourage. The alleged victim shared that while he was walking to a convenience store in Apgujeong, he spotted Jessi and approached her for a photo. However, she told him that she could not take a pic and apologized. Just as the fan was about to leave after apologising, a man from Jessi’s entourage punched and kicked him. The assailant was reportedly not directly associated with Jessi, and was merely a friend of a producer.

Jessi issued a statement to explain her side of the story. "During a recent personal meeting with an acquaintance, the victim, who is a fan of mine, asked me for a photo, which I politely declined twice due to it being late at night, and at that moment, he was suddenly assaulted by a person who was nearby and whom I had never seen before that day, I was so overwhelmed by the suddenness of the situation that I wasn't able to consider the fan’s feelings carefully," the rapper shared, before apologising.
