The 2024 Creative Arts Emmys winners have been unveiled! Among the list was none other than Blackpink star Jennie's debut show The Idol.
The Idol bags Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography
On September 8, Jennie’s debut show The Idol won the Emmy for Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming. While choreographer Nina McNeely took home the award for her routines in the show’s music video shoots and rehearsal, fans also lauded Jennie for her performance in the rehearsal scene.

A fan cheered, "Jennie Ruby Jane you will, always be famous." Another BLINK added, "Deserved! The iconic 'amazing Dyanne' dance," while a third wrote, "Her 10 second scene in that show securing an Emmy? Oh IT Girl Jennie Kim!"

For the unversed, Jennie made her acting debut in HBO's The Idol. The series, created by Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, starred Lily-Rose Depp, Abel Tesfaye, Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan and Jane Adams in lead roles. Jennie played Dyanne, a backup dancer who is a close friend of Lily-Rose Depp’s character on the show.

On the work front
In December last year, Jennie announced the establishment of her own agency OA (ODD ATELIER). Following her departure from YG Entertainment, the rapper dropped Slow Motion with Matt Champion and SPOT! with Zico. On September 9, Jennie announced her partnership with Colombia Records. The Blackpink star also revealed that she’d be making her highly-awaited comeback with a new single in October 2024.

Aside from music, the rapper has also been busy with variety shows. Jennie is set to make a guest appearance on My Name is Gabriel. Her episodes are scheduled to air on September 27 and October 4.
