Iran-linked hackers reportedly leaked identities and personal data of an Israeli scientist and defence official, news outlet Haaretz reported on Monday. The publication added that the hackers affiliated with Tehran's intelligence service targeted the Soreq Nuclear Research Centre. The leaked data included about 30 photos of the facility, which were taken from the scientist's hacked phone and email.
Israeli officials have not made a formal statement about the alleged hack yet.
The local media publication added that the leaked material included a screenshot of Israeli nuclear scientists working on the Soreq Nuclear Research Centre's 'particle accelerator' project and an Israeli Defence Ministry former director general’s private photos and documents. The individuals have not been identified yet.

"They also leaked personal materials belonging to a current Israeli ambassador and a former military attaché in the United States, as well as information about family members of senior Israeli officials," the report read.
The reported hack comes months after a group claimed to have stolen data from the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona. The operation was conducted through a breach of government email servers.
According to Haaretz, the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on behalf of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission about the Monday hack: "Following a thorough examination, the images and blueprint do not belong to any of its facilities."

This comes as newly appointed Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz on Monday said Iran was "more exposed than ever to strikes on its nuclear facilities".
"In my first meeting today with the @IDF General Staff Forum, I emphasized: Iran is more exposed than ever to strikes on its nuclear facilities. We have the opportunity to achieve our most important goal – to thwart and eliminate the existential threat to the State of Israel," Katz tweeted.
