Now that a three-year cycle has ended and another mega auction is coming up, teams have different opinions on player retention. Some want to keep as many as eight players, while others are okay with four or five. The IPL Governing Council has not yet decided on the matter.
The IPL Governing Council will discuss important matters, such as the date and venues for the 2025 mega auction. Reports have suggested that the 2025 IPL auction might occur outside of India, possibly at the end of November.
