IPL Mega Auction Bidding Live: The IPL 2025 is set to be an exciting 18th season of the cash-rich league, as the mega auction marks its return for the first time since 2022. The event is all set to be held across two days on November 24 (Sunday) and 25 (Monday) at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. This is the second year in a row that the IPL auction is being held in the Middle-East.
All the 10 teams have retained their quota of players and have released a number of star players from their side. Hence, some of the biggest names in world cricket are part of the auction. Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh are some of the elite Team India stars expected to fetch the biggest money at the event. Overseas stars like Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone are too expected to attract massive bigs.
A total of 574 players have been shortlisted for the mega-auction. Out of these, 366 are Indian players while 208 overseas players are part of the list.
James Anderson, aged 42, is the oldest player in the pruned list. 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the youngest player in the list.
