In a funny yet inspiring incident, two rival groups exchanging blows in the middle of a busy road in Kerala halted their brawl to clear the way for an ambulance. The fight broke out at a local cooperative bank in the southern state's Calicut district, where tensions erupted between the Congress party and a breakaway faction. The election results triggered unrest after a rebel group, comprising former Congress members and backed by the CPI(M), seized control of the bank's board of directors. The board had been under Congress dominance for 61 years.
In the now-viral video, the two groups can be seen engaging in a heated fight amid the rain, with people pulling each other, throwing punches, beating, and ganging up against each other. As soon as the sound of the siren is heard, a person signals others about the presence of the ambulance. Without any resistance, both parties make way. Several people have dubbed the video as 'The Kerala Story,' and netizens are applauding the people for their kindness and humility.
Earlier in 2022, a similar incident took place in the state where people made way for an ambulance during the anti-CAA NRC rally. However, once the ambulance had passed, the fighting resumed without delay, adding to the chaos.
