Telugu Director Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 and Mangalavaaram fame, known for his candid sense of humour, recently made a lighthearted remark about popular actor-director Upendra.

During the teaser launch of Kannada film, Just Married, Ajay Bhupathi quipped, “If Upendra sir were a girl, I would have asked him out on a date.” The playful comment drew laughter from the audience, adding a touch of humour to the event.
He further clarified that the date he refers is to is to spend time just talking to the genius director.
Ajay Bhupathi, a fan of Upendra's work, was clearly expressing his admiration for the actor's talent and charisma, albeit in a cheeky manner.
The Telugu director along with actor-director Upendra and Tamil director Nithilan Saminathan unveiled the teaser of Kannada film Just Married. The film marks the debut production venture of composer Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame and CR Bobby. It is being made under ABBS Studios productions banner.
Just Married, also marks the directorial debut of composer C R Bobby. It features Shine Shetty, Ankita Amar, Devaraj, Shruthi Hariharan, Achyuth Kumar, Anup Bhandari, Sakshi Agarwal, Sriman, Ravishankar Gowda, Sangeetha Anil, Vani Harikrishna, Shruthi and Devraj.

The Telugu director shared that he is a great fan of Upendra and is one of those directors who inspired him to take up filmmaking.
“As a child I danced to Upendra sir's songs. I still have a poster of Upendra sir's directorial cult film Om in my office. Had Upendra film been released now, it would have easily minted Ra 1000,” said Ajay Bhupathi.
The director even revealed that he has a sequence in his film, RX100 which was inspired by the character from Upendra’s Upendra film.
