Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), visited the completed 133 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) at Fateh Nagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday. This STP is part of a large sewage treatment program launched last year at a cost of Rs 3,866 crore. According to KT Rama Rao, once the program is completed, the city will achieve the distinction of treating 100 percent of its sewage water.
In a post on X, the BRS Party shared visuals from the location and wrote, "A group of party leaders led by the Working President of Bharat Rashtra Samithi @KTRBRS visited the STPs initiated by the previous government in Hyderabad city. He first visited the completed STP in Fateh Nagar in the Kukatpally constituency."

The BRS Party further mentioned that KTR, commenting on the occasion, noted that the previous government launched these programs with the noble aim of making Hyderabad a dirty-water-free city. The post read, "As part of that, a large-scale sewage treatment program was initiated at a cost of Rs 3,866 crore. Once the construction of these STPs is completed, Hyderabad will become the city with 100% sewage treatment. However, the pace of construction of STPs has slowed down since this government came to power. It seems to be trying to delay the project even though everything is ready."
The post continued, "The government should prioritize this program to free the people of Hyderabad from dirty water and work to complete it immediately. The construction of these STPs is a significant initiative by the Government of Bharat Rashtra Samithi for the people of Hyderabad."
