Hyderabad: A student from a private college at Bachupally has allegedly committed suicide. The female student of a private junior college hanged herself to death in the college hostel. Angered over the shifting of the body without informing them, the deceased's parents are blaming the college management for her death. The family members and relatives of the deceased ransacked the office furniture.The deceased was a native of Nagireddypalli village near Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district.
The deceased hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her hostel room on October 21. The Police told IANS that the deceased was a student of Intermediate First Year (Class 11) and returned to the college hostel on October 20 after the Dussehra holidays.
The college management informed her family that she fell unconscious. However, after reaching the hostel, parents were informed that she died by suicide and her body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital. The family members expressed anger and questioned the college management why the body was shifted before their arrival.
Police officials tried to pacify the protesters and told them that the police shifted the body for autopsy. No suicide note has been found and probe is underway. A case has been registered at Bachupally Police Station under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The Police are investigating the case from all angles.
The girl’s family members raised doubts over the cause of the death and demanded that police treat it as a case of death under suspicious circumstances. If the college management is found guilty, negligent action would be taken against them.
