Hyderabad: During an inspection in a licensed Zomato warehouse on October 29, nearly 20 kilos of button mushrooms with the packaging date of October 30, 2024, was found. The discovery shocked the Food Safety officers, exposing out a new scam strategy. It was the Hyperpure warehouse of Zomato in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, where the checks were held. Flies Swarming, No Aprons
When the officials reached the warehouse, they found the space in an unhygienic condition as flies were buzzing around. Important tools to maintain cleanliness such as adequate insect-proof screens were not there. Many of the food handlers were not wearing caps or aprons, further compromising with the quality of the food they delivered.
