Tel Aviv: Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah on Monday carried out a fresh strike on Israel. The militant group reportedly fired 165 rockets toward northern Israel, reported The Times of Israel. Several people were reportedly injured and many vehicles were also damaged in the attack. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) also shared the destruction caused due to the attack.
"We will continue to defend our civilians against Hezbollah’s aggression," the IDF said in an X post along with the video of the attack. As per the IDF, 50 rockets were fired at the Galilee. Some of these rockets were intercepted by the air defence system of Israel. However, several rockets hit the Karmiel area, reported The Times of Israel. Hezbollah took responsibility for the attack.
The militant group also launched a drone from Lebanon, but it was intercepted by air defenses over the northern kibbutz of Malkia.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah launched around 90 rockets towards northern Israel's Haifa city. As per the Israeli daily, initially, 80 rockets were intercepted by air defences. However, several rockets hit parts of the city. It is reportedly the largest rocket attack on Hafia by Hezbollah amid ongoing ongoing conflict.
Meanwhile, the IDF claimed that it destroyed a Hezbollah rocket launcher from which the airstrike was carried out in a drone strike.
Hezbollah carried out strikes on Israel a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted to approving the pager attack on the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah in September this year. Notably, at least 40 people were killed and 3,000 others were injured in the attack. The development was confirmed by Israeli PM's spokesperson Omer Dostri.
"Netanyahu confirmed Sunday that he greenlighted the pager operation in Lebanon," Dostri told news agency AFP. It was the first public admission by the Israeli PM. Netanyahu's statement came days after Lebanon lodged a complaint against Israel at the United Nations.
