How La Liste Calculates Scores
The methodology behind La Liste's rankings is impressively rigorous. The guide creates an extensive database by collecting reviews from hundreds of guidebooks and publications worldwide. Each review undergoes a standardisation process, and thousands of chefs are consulted to assign a "trustworthiness index" to each guidebook.
The final score is calculated by averaging standardised review scores, weighted by each source's credibility. Interestingly, online customer reviews contribute 10% to the final score, ensuring a balanced perspective that considers both professional critiques and diner experiences.
