'he was nothing in front of them': former pakistan cricketer blasts pak bowlers for india coach

Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has criticized the attitude of Pakistani bowlers towards former South African fast bowler Morne Morkel. Morkel, who is now the bowling coach of the Indian cricket team, previously served as a bowling coach for Pakistan.

According to Ali, the Pakistani bowlers' perception of Morkel was a major factor in his unsuccessful stint with the team.

In a recent chat show on his YouTube channel, Basit highlighted how some of Pakistan's bowlers felt Morkel was inferior to them, which undermined his authority and effectiveness as a coach.

“The Pakistani bowlers think that they are bigger than cricket and Morne Morkel was nothing in front of them,” he said.

He also spoke about how India dominated the same Bangladesh team that had beaten Pakistan a couple of weeks ago.

"We got to know the difference. This is the same Bangladesh played against Pakistan, where it seemed as if Pakistan were completely on the back foot. This is the same Bangladesh that whitewashed Pakistan. The difference is of mindset, thinking and class," he explained.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh were reeling on 158/4 in their mammoth chase of 515 when bad light stopped play on day three of the opening Test on Saturday. India declared their second innings at 287 for 4 riding on twin hundreds from Rishabh Pant (109) and Shubman Gill (119) with an overall lead of 514.

In reply, Ravichandran Ashwin continued his dream form, following up on his first innings hundred with figures of 3 for 63, while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto remained unbeaten on 51.
