Korean actor Han So-Hee's label on Tuesday clarified her involvement in her mother's "arbitrary action", after the latter was arrested on September 2 for operating 12 illegal gambling dens across Ulsan, Wonju and more, since 2021.
According to Koreaboo, 9ato Entertainment released a statement that specified So-Hee's stand in the case, calling it a "personal matter." It further stated that the K-drama star had nothing to do with her mother getting charged, who has been identified as Ms Shin.
9ato Entertainment's statement read:
"Hello, this is 9ato Entertainment. We are here to inform you of our position regarding actress Han So Hee’s mother. The reports released yesterday (September 2) are a personal matter done by her mother, and Han So Hee cannot express how devastated she is after hearing the news. We want to emphasize once again that this incident has nothing to do with the actress and is her mother’s arbitrary action. We apologize for bringing uncomfortable news about her personal life that’s not work-related. Thank you."
About Han So-Hee's mother's brush with law
Han So-Hee's mother reportedly has a history with drugs and this was the second time she has been taken into custody. The 29-year-old previously also faced a lawsuit after her mother took out a 40 million won loan and set her daughter as the guarantor.
Soon after the news broke on Monday, So-Hee issued an apology for leaving her fans and people "uncomfortable or hurt by the incident".

Han So-Hee who made her acting debut in a supporting part in Reunited Worlds (2017), went on to do main roles in Korean projects like Money Flower, 100 Days My Prince, Abyss, Nevertheless, Gyeongseong Creature, The World of the Married, My Name, Soundtrack #1 and many more.
After the divorce of her parents at the age of 5, Han So-Hee lived with her grandmother, and was barely in touch with her mother, especially after high school.
