Colorado's Democratic governor, Jared Polis, has apparently had a change of heart about his stance on Robert F Kennedy Jr. The 49-year-old, who once slammed the anti-vaccine activist, on Thursday congratulated him for being tapped by President-elect Donald Trump for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
“I’m excited by the news that the President-Elect will appoint @RobertKennedyJr to @HHSGov. He helped us defeat vaccine mandates in Colorado in 2019 and will help make America healthy again by shaking up HHS and FDA,” Polis wrote in a post on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

The Colorado governor further added that he hopes Kennedy does not enact any vaccine bans. “I hope he leans into personal choice on vaccines rather than bans (which I think are terrible, just like mandates) but what I’m most optimistic about is taking on big pharma and the corporate ag oligopoly to improve our health,” Polis stated.
Polis said he expects RFK Jr to reduce the price of prescription drugs and eliminate the nutrition department at the FDA.

Gov Polis' support for Kennedy comes weeks after he slammed the former independent presidential candidate for endorsing Donald Trump. "Not sure how bringing back Measles and bringing back Polio makes anyone more healthy…" he had mocked RFK Jr in a tweet.
