Gold Rates Today: Gold prices increased on Wednesday morning in the domestic futures market following positive global cues and a spike in demand in spot markets.
The highest purity gold, known as 24-carat, was priced at Rs 77,390 per 10 grams. For those interested in jewellery, 22-carat gold, which is slightly more durable due to an alloy mix, was priced at Rs 70,940 per 10 grams.
While, silver was priced at Rs 96,800 per kilogram.
Gold prices in international markets have gained as the US dollar and treasury yields eased. The focus has switched to upcoming US economic data that will impact expectations for the interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
MCX Gold for December 5 expiry was up by 0.12 per cent at Rs 76,451 per 10 grams.
