GOAT Box Office Collections Day 1: Vijay's GOAT has finally hit cinema halls on September 5 taking a good start at the box office.

The film directed by Venkat Prabhu has been produced by AGS Entertainment. Upon its release, the film opened to mixed reviews at the box office.

On day one the film has earned Rs 40 crore, with an occupancy of 76 percent in Tamil.

Telugu occupancy for the film was 30 percent, and Hindi occupancy of was 14 percent. The IMAX version of the film saw 51 percent occupancy.

Despite this strong performance, GOAT's first-day collections fall short compared to Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD which grossed Rs 114 crore on its first day and remains the highest earner of 2024 so far.

GOAT failed to surpass Vijay’s previous film, Leo which made Rs 76.2 crore on its opening day in India.

Celebrities watch GOAT

Actor Trisha Krishnan was one of the celebrities to watch the FDFS of GOAT to the theatres in Chennai on Thursday. She smiled as she went inside the theatre, with the film's producer Archana Kalpathi. Trisha made a special appearance in a dance number with Vijay in the film.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan who also made a cameo in the film, watched the GOAT FDFS with fans at a popular theatre in Coimbatore.

Keerthy Suresh also joined fans to watch the FDFS of GOAT.
