GOAT Box Office Collection Day 5: Vijay’s Action Film Earns Rs 150 Crore

Thalapathy Vijay’s Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has grossed the Rs 150 crore mark in India, as it has earned around Rs 14.1 crore on its first Monday.

The action extravaganza has also successfully become the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.

After earning Rs 44 crore on its opening day, GOAT saw a decline in numbers on the second day, as it earned Rs 25 crore.

GOAT, picked up pace on its days three and four with a collection of Rs 33.5 crore and Rs 34 crore, respectively.

On day 6, the film has earned Rs 14 crore with Tamil occupancy of 43 percent, Hindi occupancy of 10 percent, Telugu occupancy of 15 percent. As per the makers, the film has earned Rs 288 crores worldwide in just four days.

Trisha shares BTS images from Vijay – Venkat Prabhu’s GOAT

Trisha, whose last Tamil film was Vijay’s Leo, made a surprise entry in the Matta song from GOAT.

The actor took to social media recently to share behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the film.

Following the post, the makers of the film released a video clip of the song featuring Trisha and Vijay in which the two recreate the hook step from the Appadi Podu song from Ghilli which released 20 years ago.

In the the end credits of GOAT, it was officially announced that the film will return with a sequel, titled GOAT vs OG with the tagline, a Venkat Prabhu Villain. In the film, Vijay plays dual roles – the role of Gandhi, a member of SATS (Special Anti-Terrorist Squad), and Jeevan, his son.

The story follows the life of Gandhi, who embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about some events involving his own family and the members of the SATS. The film's several face-off scenes and action sequences are being talked about by the audience.
