Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was among the busiest franchises at the IPL 2025 mega-auction and they bid for 40 players. RCB spent big money on four players and spent more than 10 crore on them. Punjab Kings was the only other team which bought 4 players for more than Rs 10 crore.
RCB spent a total of 82.25 crore in the mega-auction. They spent more than 5 crore on 7 players and bought 7 players at their base price. RCB tried to buy several players but missed out. Glenn Maxwell was among the biggest players RCB did not bid for. They did not use their Right to Match (RTM) card on him either. He joined Punjab Kings for Rs 4.20 crore. RCB didn't even bid for Will Jacks. They decided against using their RTM card on him and he joined Mumbai Indians. RCB didn't make a bid for their former captain, Faf du Plessis. He led them in three IPL seasons.

Devdutt Padikkal made his return to RCB after being bought by them for Rs 2 crore. The left-handed batsman remained unsold in the first round. He was part of RCB from IPL 2019 to 2021.

RCB retained Virat Kohli, Yash Dayal and Rajat Patidar before the mega-auction. They used their RTM card on Swapnil Singh and retained him for Rs 50 lakh.
