PWR DUPR India Masters: The Australian pair of George Wall and Danni E Townsend secured their path to the semi-finals of the PWR DUPR India Masters at the DLTA Stadium on Saturday. It was a relatively easy outing for the duo as they beat the formidable pair of USA’s Roman Estareja and Taiwan’s Kao P Chuan.

From the outset, Wall and Townsend were dominant with their powerful shots and precise net play, which helped them gain an early 5-1 lead in the first game. Wall, in particular, was relentless, consistently delivering powerful smashes, and his opponents seemed bereft of answers as they clinched game 1 with a 11-2 scoreline.

As the match progressed into the second set, there was a brief moment when Roman Estareja and Kao P. Chuan seemed better prepared as the score read 3-3. But from that point onwards, Wall and Townsend showed their superior skill to take a lead that culminated in a victory in the second game, sealing their place in the next round.

Earlier on day 2, in the men’s doubles category of Pro division, India’s Armaan Bhatia and Harsh Mehta defeated the Indian-Australian duo of Jai Grewal and Jason Taylor to qualify for the finals. Bhatia has been in sensational form in the India Masters. On Day 1, in the Pro Open Men’s Singles Category, he defeated Chinese Taipei's Willy Chung 11-4, 11-1 to storm into the finals, where he will face Dusty Boyer.

In women's doubles, Roos Van Reek and Kaitlynn Hart will face off against the pair of Emilia Schmidt and Sarah Jane Lim. In the women's singles category, USA's Sophia Sewing triumphed over Australia's Somer Dalla-Bona to set up a finals date with Pei Chuan Kao (PRC), who won her match against Roos Van Reek (#Netherlands).
